However, the US could not keep up with the worldwide demand and in 1999 Graz was issued a contract of 75,000 units to help supply EU and surrounding nations. As far as I know the US/Graz built all the different ML configurations (however, there might be exceptions to this that would need more research (like if a certain version was exclusive to Graz/USA)). This above example is a 2002-2005 model by the mirrors. |

| ingo | Well, you need a connection to the ZEVIS-database https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZEVIS then you get the informations. Illegally of course. When it's not a personalized combination on the plate, it's possible to recognize the approximate date, when a plate was issued. For that you have to know the running number-series at the Straßenverkehrsamt. There are some insane nerds in the plate-collector-scene, who know that. In the early years after the 1.7.1956 some counties and towns had number-series reserved for vehicle-classes, as tractors, motorbikes, trailers and so on, but the early 70ies it's not common any more. |
