opal ![]() | This is actually a RHD. They block with green board thing and place a fake steering wheel on the other side. | 2018-02-24 09:26

2018-02-24 06:34 | ||
MisterZ ![]() | It's a Tarago, as seen written on the B-pillar here: I also agree with above comment - only 2 stars. It appears for literally 10 seconds in the movie. At least a 1992 model, due to grab handle on A pillar. 1991 models lacked this. -- Last edit: 2018-12-06 14:06:19 |
2018-02-24 06:29 | ||
MisterZ ![]() | Not sold as a Mitsubishi in Australia until 1978. These early ones were sold as the Dodge Canter in Australia. -- Last edit: 2018-02-25 09:44:14 |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | You call yourself Train68 yet you don’t appear to know about the Titfield Thunderbolt. Strange. -- Last edit: 2018-02-14 12:50:25 |

train68 ![]() | Two stars. | 2018-02-12 17:23
stevil101 ![]() | I don't think I can, because I don't have any. The reason why I say that is because I thought it might be helpful. Did you notice that the sliding door is not on the right hand side in the main picture? Because the sliding door on the left-hand drive Previas should be behind the front passenger seat. |

Gamer ![]() | Why don't you do it yourself? | 2018-02-06 20:41
stevil101 ![]() | You know what really confuses me? In one shot, the steering wheel looked like it was on the left hand side, but the sliding door was also on the left side as well. Can anyone add more pictures of it? | 2018-02-06 20:40
train68 ![]() | I haven't seen this movie in a long time, but I do remember seeing a truck at the beginning that takes Babe's mom to the butcher shop. If I remember correctly, the truck was a Mack Superliner. Correct me if I'm wrong. If anyone can find a picture of the truck, then I'll know for sure -- Last edit: 2018-02-15 15:45:05 |

Jun ![]() | Mitsubishi Canter (1973-78) http://www.mitsubishi-fuso.com/en/fusohistory/history_06.html 'Canter' logo was printed in english version catalog, so I believe it was called Canter. |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | True, but I clearly remember that this car is left-hand drive. Since cars in Australia are right-hand drive, it can't have been badged with the Australia-specific Tarago name. It's been years since I saw Babe, but I do remember that James Cromwell as Farmer Hoggett speaks with an American accent while the farm animals mostly have English accents, as far as I remember. The producers took care not to pin the setting down to any particular country, and they probably decided to go with an LHD car because they had to decide one way or the other and the US would be the largest audience for the film. |

antp ![]() | But all the movie was made in Australia ![]() |
2006-05-25 21:45 | ||
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | I see Tarago is the Australian name for the Previa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Previa), but IIRC the one in Babe is left-hand drive, so it wouldn't be badged as a Tarago. | 2006-05-25 21:44 |
