AnimatronixX ![]() | ^ No, they're not movie cars. The Mk.I M-RK 761 you are referring to has seen a lot more real crime scenes than fictional ones (for example here and here). While I can't fully rule out an occasional movie car, the Schimanski and Haferkamp ones appear to be genuine removal hearses either. | 2021-05-02 01:08

AlexTBV ![]() | Hi all... as I see...an old discussion. I think these grey funeral-Transits (one in MKI, one in MKII) are a miracle... They were often presented in crime series around Munich (Der Alte, Derrick, Tatort). There it has a big light transparent above front window "Unfall-Sondereinsatz". But there are some Tatorts which play in the Ruhrgebiet-area like this Schimanski and also Haferkamps with these grey Transits. I think these are film cars, because I never investigated the correct owner company or service. The MKI-version had different number plates (some like M-RK..., which was former reserved for red cross, maybe out of service and labeled into a hearse), this MKII with the DU-8000 number also doesn't make sense. And the coroners "Gerichtsmedizin" haven't own vans in Germany. One fact which underlines that is that in one Haferkamp-scene (which plays in Essen) and also in one Schimanski-scene they show bavarian police cars (/vehicle_49219-BMW-5-E28-1982.html). So I think, they produced the scenes around munich and used them. Don't know if the film production BAVARIA have own film cars. -- Last edit: 2014-09-14 13:11:54 |

| 2010-12-06 22:15
citroen_cx ![]() | I'm not sure about the bus. By the front, it could have been an O 3500, but the rest looks looks more than a truck... | 2010-12-06 21:55

ingo ![]() | Thanks for the pic, but it's not the car/van, I mean. Not a too long time ago there was one listed here with such a specific license plate. No idea, if it was a Transit, too. | 2010-12-05 18:11
DynaMike ![]() | There's a Tatort Transit here: /vehicle_92763-Ford-Transit.html (but I doubt it is the same). | 2010-12-05 17:33

cl82 ![]() | @ingo: Exactly this I had actually in mind as the wreck even still had the big "VW" badge on the front. Sadly I didn't had the time to stop on that Saturday morning as I had an appointment to meet. As that yard closes on 12 o'clock on Saturdays, I had to wait until Monday. When I finally arrived there, the work had already been done. The guys who operate the place unfortunately know a thing or two about oldtimers, so they knew what kind of money they could make. Everything had been picked. There's quite an active oldtimer-community in Tübingen, so that's ok I think. | 2010-12-05 16:37
@to the non-German-speakers: it's about the authority-licence-plate of this Van ![]() |

DynaMike ![]() | I had some doubts as this being a Magirus-Deutz, but I found a similar front in http://www.truckerlinks.dk/engelsk/magirus.htm (scroll down about halfway), an O 3500. Could it have been a bus rather than a truck? | 2010-12-05 14:24
ingo ![]() | I recommend to check this T1-wreck carefully for just tiny parts. Once I've broken off the -really bad- semaphores of a totally rotten -even smashed flat- T1-wreck on a Swedish junkyard. They were the only identifyable parts - I really got some good money for them at eBay some months later. A VW T1 is one of the cars, you can get some money for even the worst wrecked parts. Without cheating the buyers. I've announced it as junk - but the freaks have paid money for it anyways -- Last edit: 2010-12-05 14:17:56 |

ingo ![]() | Sure. It's an open secret, that Citroen has supported the "Schimanski"-Tatorte. | 2010-12-05 12:49
ingo ![]() | Now is the best time to looks around for them, the V8-prices are as low as possible ![]() Link to "suchen.mobile.de" A real drama you'll have with the availability of spare parts. Audi has not much in their stock any more, and if yes, for terrible prices You imperatively need contacts to the club-freaks! Otherwise a V8 will cost your financial and mental health. -- Last edit: 2010-12-05 12:48:18 |
