robgeelen2 ![]() | I think it is LHD as well, and with 9 LHD LWB Saloons by Park Ward and 27 LHD LWB S2 Saloons by Park Ward,(no way to tell thedifference from the picture) this is a rare car. | 2020-10-28 18:35
Weasel1984 ![]() | This is "small wheeled" R20 with headlamps taken from R30. If mirror is original*, it is 1981+ (for sure it isn't entirely original, as was painted in body color). PS. There was factory made R30 Turbo D with wheels of this size, but it had different bumpers. |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | No there isn’t a discrepancy of 1, it’s my fault. Royce’s never use Chassis #13. -- Last edit: 2020-10-19 09:54:49 |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | I have that book, never thought of looking in it. My two sources were Graham Robson, “The Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Standard Production Models 1945-65” James Taylor “Coachwork on Rolls-Royce and Bentley 1945-65” The chassis #s quoted by Taylor for the S1 were ALB 1 to ALB 36, so there is a discrepancy of 1 somewhere. You have a small typing error, don’t you mean S3 for the ‘64-65 cars? S2 would seem fine, the extra weight of the LWB might be a bit unfortunate for the six cylinder engine. I always try for two sources where possible, it seems we have a third. -- Last edit: 2020-10-19 09:45:16 |

dsl ![]() | For the record, my info is: S1 LWB - 35 made Nov 57 to July 59, 12 of which were LHD S2 LWB - 57 made Jan 60 to Aug 62, 27 of which were LHD S3 LWB - 32 made June 64 to Jan 65, 12 of which were LHD So gravity pulls towards S2?? -- Last edit: 2020-10-19 13:50:00 |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | It certainly looks like a Bentley badge on the back bumper. There were very few S1/S2 LWB Steel saloons, and probably only a handful of lhd ones. The radiator ornament does not look elaborate enough to be Royce, but it is v. small in the picture. S1 LWB. Qty 36. 23 Steel. S2 LWB. Qty 57. 51 Steel. I do not have information on how many of them were lhd. -- Last edit: 2020-10-18 22:09:54 |

dsl ![]() | LHD LWB S1/S2/SC1/SC2. So all we need is the make. Doesn't look as if RR plaque on bumper?? | 2020-10-18 21:34
electra225 ![]() | 1986+ I think by the tail lights. | 2020-10-18 21:03
CougarTim ![]() | The earliest Bobcats carried 'Melroe' branding on the rear. The Melroe family sold the business to Clark in 1969 and around that time the rear branding switched to 'Bobcat' like this one (the Bobcat logo continued to carry the Melroe name until 1976). I'd guess this one is an M610 from the early 1970s. Depending on year, it may have been built in Italy or Germany (see comments at /vehicle_168168-Melroe-Bobcat-M444-1970.html ). | 2020-10-18 20:51

s13a ![]() | Bit of an oddball. Look like older wheels, however it didn't seem to have any chrome on the supposed side air intakes (which I don't think exist here), and the roofline (1st thumb) is closer to Caravelle rather than Floride. |
