This is clear because the wheel arches are no higher than the red strip, but on B57s they are higher (at least when they were painted with the livery that had 2 red stripes, NOT the single red stripe seen above. 1984 Nissan Cedric Diesel [Y30] Shou hu fei long (1990)	buhin	This is Cedric model code Y30 (not 430), known as Nissan Cedric in Hong Kong. The engine is TD23, 2.3L diesel (so it is NOT 280C). Starting from this generation of Nissan taxi, there were less and less Nissan and more and more Toyota taxi. A further merger saw it come under the same parent company as Comfort Taxis, which owns the blue taxi on the left; their livery is now a darker shade of blue, and the logo is also more streamlined. The registration number isn't very clear, but it looks like SBS 5517U. Perhaps another old-time bus enthusiast from Singapore can confirm. Also, note the orange bus behind - it's a bus owned by the now-defunct Singapore Shuttle Bus company, which operated CSS bus routes. That one looks like a Hino model.	2012-01-14 15:59

Very often you have different model-names and trim-lines in direct neighbour-countries. It's nearly uncountable. 1984 Mitsubishi Lancer [C10] Shou hu fei long (1990)	cko	In the Philippines, which is MUCH closer to Hong Kong than the US, the name Mirage was also used on this car and the 1984 Lancers are typically the "box-type". At first, Lancers were sold in the US as "dodge/plymouth colt", and then the name was used on the early Mirages. We never got the "box" Lancers.So while it is confusing in that the same names were used on different body styles throughout the world, i still cant understand why in one continent this body style would be sold under 2 names-Lancer and Mirage.
