TankCatapult ![]() | Shouldn't there be an entry for the light blue Torino parked alongside this bunch of cars? | 2022-12-23 07:47
GodzillaFan54 ![]() | Coleman's character, Burt, puts the key to his Dodge in the Benz's door lock slot while distracted by his thoughts, thinking it's his Dodge Diplomat due to the similar shape and color. Cue angry border collie! Also, I think that mirror might be on the wrong side. -- Last edit: 2022-02-11 16:02:34 |

xdemoDriver ![]() | Before the chase begins, and they first get into the car, it is a Dodge Diplomat. During the entire chase it is a Plymouth Gran Fury. It is quite common when a car is going through relentless hits during a sequence more than 1 car is used. With the exception of films such as Bullitt, the French Connection, The Seven-Ups... | 2020-08-15 04:54

Lateef ![]() | Not really "higher quality", just slightly blown up pictures of some DVD-rip that turn out blurry and pixelated as they're not true to size of the quality they're representing. |

Wolfbrat ![]() | Looks like one of the 35-footers. A bunch of them were sold off by Transit to Slater Iron & Salvage because Transit wanted them scrapped vs. turned into motorhomes or left rotting in peoples' yards still wearing BC Transit colours. When Transit was uncooperative in lending some of these productions the buses they wanted, the picture car people found out that Slater had the scrap contract, and actually rented the buses from Slater for use in filming (because they were *driven* to the scrappers - which is still happening to this day.) BC Transit was evidently outraged but there's nothing they could do as Slater was still good legally if they scrapped the buses as per contract - but there was nothing in the legalese to say *when* they had to scrap them (i.e., they could wait until after the movie companies were finished with them Normally the buses in this scheme have a four-digit unit number in white written in that blue space just beneath the windshield, and centered. The headsign looks borrowed from something generic, as we had nothing like that on our system. |

Wolfbrat ![]() | A lot of this was filmed right up from my old work in Vancouver, B.C., and the M151 military jeep and the WC-63 were owned by friends. At the time there were a lot of old surplus Plymouth Caravelles around and older Impalas and Caprices both retired from RCMP and city police services along with some tired ex-taxis often repainted and repainted again into different police colours. In Canada the RCMP used the Plymouth Caravelle where stateside it was Dodge Diplomats for the most part and the odd Plymouth Gran Fury. Some shows you'll see the star car as a Dodge Diplomat, then see the insert/ burn car is a Caravelle (the'Plymouth' on the grille is the usual giveaway.) | 2015-05-10 08:15
supcoach ![]() | 1979 rear view Link to "2.bp.blogspot.com" 1978 rear view http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/465/461/26160230009_large.jpg?v=0 This is definitely a 1978 model |

supcoach ![]() | The last Bel Airs for the U.S. were manufactured for 1975. For 1976, a lower-trimmed Impala "S" four-door sedan was a one-year offering which had less standard equipment than regular Impalas and functioned as a replacement for the Bel Air. HOWEVER as this series was filmed in CANADA it may be a Bel-Air In Canada, Chevrolet retained the Bel Air as its lowest-priced full-size car from 1977 through the 1981 model year. For 1977, Canadian Bel Airs received the same downsizing as their Impala/Caprice counterparts.... |

| Donovan Savage | This doesn't have any Impala decals at all so, this is a 1980 Chevrolet Bel Air | 2015-02-10 00:55 | ||

mp775 ![]() | BC Transit colors, and the movie was filmed in British Columbia. Almost certainly a GMDD (Canadian) New Look. | 2014-12-15 21:37

APS221 ![]() | The movie is set in Seattle, but filmed in Vancouver. If it's not the authentic British Columbia plate, it's a prop Washington plate. | 2011-05-29 03:35
tonkatracker ![]() | yeah that was my mistake, I was going by information that another user posted on imcdb without checking the sources ![]() |
2011-05-28 19:47 | ||
benfolio ![]() | My old old old catalogs show a square headlight for 1980, but in 1981 the bezel shape changed.... in fact, a lot of things changed. I think this is a 1980 as 929V6 stated. The vertical 'guards' on the front bumper next to the license plate only appear in my 1980 catalog. | 2011-05-28 18:46
ingo ![]() | So Canadian version? Can anyone identify the Province by that blurred plate? | 2011-05-28 17:50
Lateef ![]() | With the square headlights? First and only in fact. The GLC [BD] arrived the same year. | 2011-05-28 17:49
rjluna2 ![]() | With the badge on the C-pillar and 1977-79 Caprice hubcap, I am going have to say this is 1977-79 Chevrolet Caprice Estate. | 2011-05-28 17:47 |
