| Ingo | No - why? Thailand is a RHD-country. I'd been a few times in Thailand - and never saw any US-spec cars there, except two, three reimported classics. When I had beeen in Northkorea, I asked, where the US-spec cars came from, I saw there. It was said "From Thailand" - but I similed and didn't say anything, because this was a lie. Thee cars I mentioneed, were pure US-spec, on some there were even US dealer stickers. |

| Ingo | This dealership reminds me the used car dealer in Yokohama/Japan, who offers also this kind of stuff, used imported premium cars from Germany (also shippeed from Germany)as Mercedes S-Klasse, Porsche and so on - for extreme low prices. My friend was totally bewildered about that, but then I showed him the reason of the prices: I stuck my forefinger between the front hood and the front wing of such a C126-Benz - the car was totally distorted, a cobbled accident wreck. |

| Ingo | sure, that this is a new car? All the cars in this dealership seems to be used imports. is it in Thailand allowed to drive LHD cars? If not, and this is an used import, it's a car from Irland, Japan or Hongkong.About Hongkong I'mm not sure, when Opel stopped the export. In Japan it was around 2004. |

| dsl | Yellow plate only used on the rear in UK - front should be white. So another clue that plates have been switched. As it's a 1990 film date and the red 230 disappeared from UK records in July 89, maybe it did go to Thailand (despite not triggering the export marker) and then its plate was switched round for the camera. Difficult to tell but is this an SL with hardtop rather than SLC?? |
