zodiac SEI noticed the door handles, and thought they might have been altered, but I didn't see the built-in headlamps.
Having that said I agree this is not a Fiat 1100E, but neither is it an Opel Kadett or the similar looking Moskvitch 400 (only four door versions available) or Renault Juvaquatre.

I believe you're on to something when you mentioned Opel Olympia, and when browsing around I found the 1940 update http://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/OPEL%201940.html .
I'd be very surprized if this is anything other than a 1940 Opel Olympia [OL 38], especially as Opel has always sold well in Sweden.
2015-08-16 12:44
DynaMike NLHorizontally placed door handles and built-in headlights don't match with the Fiat.
This must be a Moskvitch or a rare pre-war Opel Olympia 4-door sedan...

Both. "Vans with the optional opening windscreen had wipers mounted in the header rail. Non opening screen cars had wipers mounted in the scuttle." "Ford Popular and the small side valves" by Dave Turner.

However the book also states that the chrome front bumper became an option in October 1951. Presumably Ford had a pile of Anglia stocks to get rid of.

zodiac SEAgree that Monark is the most likely manufacturer, but it's difficult to judge whether it was sold as a Monark M30, from 1953 known as Monarpeden M30 http://www.veteranmopeder.com/html_filer_1496_1999/moped1866.htm http://mo-ped.se/m52m30.htm , or any other make which was a Monarped in discuse. Such models were Jagaren http://mo-ped.se/bike/jagaren.htm#moped and Stålpilen http://mo-ped.se/m54pil.htm , both with similar paint job as the original model.
I don't believe it's a 98cc because they usually were more sturdy built and had a longer exhaust pipe.

zodiac SEThank you for adding the STX suffix!

One small change is needed, though. This is a 1952+ model as it doesn't have the badge with "wings" and mounted above the grill, but rather in the middle of it.
And I believe the first thumb shows a Consul.
