dsl ![]() | Just for the record, the full list of temporary ADO16 permutations made and sold in UK June 67 to April 68 only and in addition to the normal sequences was: 1] Mk1 (all 4 door with near vertical tail-lights) June-Sept 67 only - MG, Riley and Vanden Plas 1100 got 1275cc option and were badged as 1275 (not 1300 name as used for Mk2); the only external clue was small badges on boot 2] Mk2 Oct 67 to Apr 68 (slanted tail-lights, perforated wheels, all 4 door saloons or 2 door estates unless noted) Austin 1100 Countryman, Morris 1100 Traveller, Wolseley 1100, MG 1100 2 and 4 door plus 1300 4 door, Riley 1100, and Vanden Plas 1100. All these models in both groups were poor sellers so quickly dropped, and I doubt if we'll ever find or be able to recognise any of them (except maybe Mk2 MG 4 door 1100 and 1300 as the Mk2 MG body in 4 door is an anomaly) Might as well mention here a couple of Mk3 export anomalies - Morris Mk3 1100/1300 2 and 4 door saloons were made in UK for export only to some countries, but never sold here because the Marina was its replacement. Everything basic model Mk3 saloon in UK was Austin only, but Morris 1300 Traveller Mk3 was sold here (alongside Mk3 Austin 1300 Countryman) to feed remnant Morris estate demand after the Minor was dropped and because Marina Estate was a long way off - MG 1300 stopped in UK in 71 at end of Mk2 production, but there was limited production from UK in CKD form for some LHD European markets until 1974. No idea which markets, and numbers were very small. If we ever find a Mk3 MG 1300, it will be LHD and look exactly like a Mk2 except for the absence of Mk2 indicators on front wings (presumably unless sold in a market where these were required) |

Weasel1984 ![]() | Seems it was modified (the main one). The mirrors are placed at the doors (since 1972), but indicators are rather-pre 1971. The plate was visible in closer shots or something? As "Hanomag" it can be 1967 too and during the 1969 it became Hanomag-Henschel. |

dsl ![]() | The Vdp MG was a US only rebadging of VdP 1100 Mk1 in 1964-65 - only 154 made - Link to "www.aronline.co.uk" . Also very rare was June-Sept 67 only MG 1100 Mk1 4 door with 1275cc option - badged MG 1275 - maybe only a couple of hundred made. UK ADO16 variations from June 67 - Apr 68 (last 3 months of Mk1/1st 6 months of Mk2) created a lot of very short-lived permutations which were quickly killed off after minimal numbers and range was rationalised. dsl ![]() | Mk1 1100 safest choice and rear lights look more like Mk1 vertical, with no sign of Mk2 indicators on front wings.
