ingo ![]() | In Germany there were/still discussions and fights at courts about that, as about the participation of muslimic girls at sports and swimming lessons in school and so on. It's not forbidden the wear the hijab in the public, but teachers aren't allowed to wear it inside school buildings. In the immigrant quarters of German towns you see them everywhere. This is caused to the fact, that the majority of the Turkish immigrants (often living here for more than 35, 40 years) are coming from the far Anatolia and are much more conservative (and lower educated, too), than the urban citizens of Istanbul. |

karoomay ![]() | Well, while countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran require all women to wear hijab, countries like Syria do not have such laws, so in general, women have the choice to wear a hijab or not.
