Z2 ![]() | No, diesel models after 1990 had vents on the right hand side of the front fender/quarter panel. This one doesn't appear to have those vents. See: Link to "www.peachparts.com" -- Last edit: 2020-07-30 21:49:40 |

naplesmovieguy ![]() | 1979 Jeep C J with a History. While Mark may have borrowed this Vehicle from his Mom to build his mobile Radio Station, 12 years before that MORK FROM ORK borrowed it from MINDY. MORK also broadcast a radio signal, back to ORK with his Egg Shaped ship strapped to the RollBar. Actually a one-off Jeep C.J.7 that AMC had given to Paramount Studios in 1978 it is a 79 with a modified door opening for use with the (proposed at the time) Hard Top and Solid Fiberglass doors w/roll-up windows. the production vehicle became the CJ8 and Scrambler models. retaining the classic rounded C.J. door openings. there is only this one jeep with this door opening. I believe it is now in private hands. |

naplesmovieguy ![]() | a small piece of trivia to the *facelift* comment. beginning back in the 30s as a sort of Pre-Consumer_Protection type thing. For a Car, as well as other products to be considered a "New Model" there Must Be at Least Three (3) Distinct differences *changes* made otherwise they can not be called a New model. so Most Manufacturers Plan Changes as a way to call a product "the New Model year" also the changes do not have to be Appearance related, the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Towncar good examples of Exactly the same only Different. thank you for letting me vent some Totally Useless Trivia. Cheers. | 2013-01-08 21:01
naplesmovieguy ![]() | 1980 through 84 bumper is one piece with a black rubber overlay 78-79 (same car, year depends on date MSO is Registered for a Title) Black Rubber/plastic end guards are in place, if removed the bumper is cut square with the outer edge of the headlight door. this is a 78-9 as most people have stated here. (some 78-79 cars where held back due to shipping channel problems, as a result it is possible to have one that is titled as new as an 1982 model. Most stated Title cars as of the date an MSO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin) is Filed not the date the vehicle leaves the factory. so technically everyone here could be correct under one circumstance or another. at any rate this car was built in either 1978 or 1979. | 2013-01-08 20:45
naplesmovieguy ![]() | 1969 lemans / tempest had the tail lights above the bumper 68s are in the bumper, the nose peak of the front bumper extended below the lower horizontal bumper bar,68 doors had vent windows 69 did not, 68 the ignition switch is on the dash, 69 is on the steering column. (in 1969 GM introduced on All GM cars, the the locking Anti-theft Steering Column, and "flow through ventilation" system *sometimes called Astro vent* as a result, the door Vent window was eliminated, and the Key and shifter control was moved permanently to the Steering column even floor shifter cars have a linkage system that ties in the the steering column.) | 2013-01-08 20:19

sutiban ![]() | The movie was supposed to take place in Arizona, but was filmed in California. | 2006-05-29 07:44
Snookie ![]() | It should be the color of the LTD also seen in this film. The paint job is obviously N.Y.C. in appearance. It looks like the car from Ghostbusters 2. | 2006-05-21 22:46
Snookie ![]() | Yeah, but there's no third brakelight. The third brakelight was required from 1986 and up, so it's probably a 1985. | 2006-05-12 21:48

garco ![]() | So 'Pickup' must be HiLux? | 2006-05-11 12:16

garco ![]() | Just thinking, Is it a actually a Toyota? We see only the 'A', but if you put 'TOYOT' left of that 'A', it will be a very wide car... Or am I mistaken? |
