garco NL@Bobjork:
for non-HD pictures, the maximum size is 720 pixels wide. I can not determine if your pictures are HD or not :) But I think they are not.

Bobjork SEStrange... I must have forgot to fill in 720 px in width when I uploaded all the pics. But no worry, I can upload them again.

Now all the pics I uploaded yesterday are 720 px except for the ones in the comment field.

And now those also are 720 px. I hope my work with the Beck movies will be seen here soon.

garco NLA tip: you can merge same cars in the comments of an already existing entry using our upload-option (/upload.php). 3 stars cars can have a seperate page, below 3 can be merged (make/type/modelyear)

Welcome to the site!

Bobjork SEWhat do you mean? That the SAAB policecars that have two or less stars could be merged to one "individual"?
To be honest, most of them will, as they always use the same ones... two different 9-5, a Volvo 944. In later movies they use the same as all the other swedish movies.

The Toyotas should be kept seperate as they are used in all movies (exept for the one in 1.01) by different characters. Gunvald mostly uses RYT533.

garco NLIf the cars appear in different movies, the have a page of it's own of course.
I understand there are Beck movies and a Beck series?
2013-01-03 08:54
Bobjork SEYes, there are movies from the 70s (driected by Bo Widerberg), 90s (with Gösta Ekman as Beck) based on the books by Sjöwall and Wahlöö and then it is this series of 26 episodes based on the characters in the books. Quite long episodes. It is a series of films. Some were released at cinemas first and then on Video/DVD. And have been running on TV4 a lot of times. Over and over again.
But, as I mentioned, the same vehicles return in other movies (episodes), and those pics will be posted in the comments for that car.

garco NLBlack borders should be removed ;)
And I think the ratio is not correct for some pictures, they seem too wide...
2013-01-03 13:50
Bobjork SEAh, I have to remove the borders... ok... I will remove them... would be a strange ratio then...
To wide? Arent they all 720px?

Now I have removed the borders except for the comment pics.

Usually 2-star can be listed separately if they have a different (and important enough) role or if they look quite different (color, trim, ...)
But indeed for series they are often regrouped.

I think they should be 720x405, just like the others. That makes it a 1.77... But I'm not an expert on this... Some other admin?
2013-01-03 20:36
Bobjork SEWell, to make them 720x405 I need to crop them more than just the borders...
Thats how it all was presented for me... but I can try to capture them again, don't know if it helps though...
2013-01-03 20:59
Sandie SXCrop the borders, it doesn't matter how tall the pictures are so long as the ratio looks right visually.

garco NLYou can use that option on the site: I have done it for /vehicle_562805-Mitsubishi.html, it looks correct now.
Wait, I do the ones you have already uploaded, you can do the new ones you have uploaded, remove the borders and check te ratio :)
2013-01-03 21:13
Bobjork SEWhich ones do I need to redo then? 2013-01-03 21:24
garco NLNothing, I have done it for you.
You just can go on with new pictures. :)

I will archive this discussion soon...

When removing borders, the shape/ratio/size of the remaining picture should not change :??:
If you remove borders by enlarging the actual pic to fill the frame, indeed you'll have ratio problems.

If you have borders on top and bottom but not the sides and remove them, then you suddenly get another ratio. In this case it was because for some reason the video was presented in the wrong ratio...7
So after converting them to 720x405 they looked correct. I have now adjusted so now it should be presented correctly.
