dhill_cb7 ![]() | Has Classic tail lamps and Elegance alloy. I don't have access to a 1998-2001 Accessories brochure but I would believe the Classic trim could have optioned for Elegance alloys? There wasn't any other shots to help us in the video. ![]() |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | Seems to be an Elegance trim by the large clear section in the tail lamps. Classic has a smaller sliver and Avantgarde doesn't have any clear; this data pertains to 1998-2001 models. | 2023-07-02 23:23 | ||

TheFordLTDMan ![]() | When I was younger I used to play a game where I'd type in random number/letter combos and see what VIN's I could find based on what I typed. I knew the VIN was invalid for that Thunderbird cause I thought most, if not all of the 1981+ models start off in a format like 1FAPP46R6LH107378. Didn't know that 2GCHC39N1J1212292 came back as a Chevy if you switched the letters though, that's wild af. |

humungus ![]() | In the end credits there is no suggestion of "archive" footage being used in the movie, but there is a very long list of people making up the "Party/Low Rider Show's Crowd". There's also a shorter "special thanks" list of "people and car clubs" providing the cars. My guess is they staged a low rider meeting for the movie and shot various low riders in action and then used that footage to make it look like three different meetings with some "plot" scenes thrown in. The "plot" scenes do look like they were filmed completely separately from the bouncing low riders. For the record: The first five rows of thumbs are from the opening credits. The exceptions are thumbs 2 and 3 in the third row which are from the second meeting 25 minutes into the movie, but feature the same red coupe. None of the cars have anything to do with the plot as the whole sequence only serves to introduce the low rider culture. The purple Chrysler is actually introduced during this meeting, but the way it's filmed makes it look like it was filmed separately with no other car around. Rows 6 to 8 are from the second meeting, in which the main character goes undercover and wins some sort of a beauty competition at a low rider show (that's her posing with white car in row 8). Except for the first thumb in this section, which is part of the brief introductory sequence (as are the two earlier thumbs with the red coupe), all the other thumbs are from scenes staged for the movie. Rows 9 to 12 are from what is supposed to be the third meeting. The plot development only involves the green Cadillac (second thumb in row 12; it's a two star vehicle). The first three thumbs (the two oldtimers and the red car) are actually shown arriving, so probably shot separately from the remaining thumbs. The last four thumbs are from a separate photoshoot scene. The woman is the main character, still undercover, posing for I can't remember what. |
