Dashboard no later than September 30, 1952; a hint of vent flaps ('Rheumaklappen') visible in thumb so 1951-52, listed as VW Sonnendach-Limousine on Imcdb |

Is there a difference between Sonnendach-Limousine and plain Sonnendach?? |

You asked for it: There are different names used in brochures - such as 1951 VW Sonnendach-Limousine vs 1953 VW Sonnendach, still called so for 1961. 1962 use VW 1200 Sonnendach-Limousine. From 1964 when the steel sunroof was introduced they seem to change to mit Sonnendach in the brochures - but in the price lists you will find them as Limousines already for 1958, with the Sonnendach as an option -- Last edit: 2017-01-30 04:02:20 |

OK - different question - do we need both groups?? Especially as they have parallel date ranges scattered through them. |

No, they could all be changed to VW Sonnendach-Limousine until 1961, I guess (or VW Sonnendach, if you prefer) German market, that is |

I've no preference which - outside my envelope. Easier to upgrade the Sonnendach group as less of them. |

So be it |

Done. All plain Sonnendach have become Sonnendach-Limousine, with nothing later than 1961. A solitary 1964 intruder is now 1200 mit Sonnendach. |
