Described as a "1962 Ferrari GTO", the star of the suspect's collection. No model, just a box. -- Last edit: 2017-01-23 10:26:36 |

250 GTO, probably a replica, since an original one is worth an insane amount of money. |

Really ? A 1/12 scale model with only ten parts ? And they snap together ? And it's written "Vrooom Vrooom" on the box along with the Ferrari logo ? Has the propos department never seen scale model boxes ? I wonder what Ferrari thought about this, knowing their attitude regarding the licensing of their trade mark. |

I think it probably is a replica but it looks a carefully made one, not just something slapped onto a dead Datsun 260Z base. It is unusual for 3 side vents instead of two and the bonnet hump, which are usually associated with the 3 cars which were upgraded to "330 GTO" spec with 4-litre engine etc - these were 3757LM (our old friend owned by Nick Mason), 3765LM (seems to be in US, but only has 2 side vents), 4561SA (actually built up from a 400 SuperAmerica, has wider front grille). So I think this is a specific "330 GTO" replica, and may be a known car amongst folk who know these things. Any better info welcome. |

The 10-part model is part of the plot. |

Confirmed: this is a professionally built replica using a Ferrari donor car. |
