Yes, looks like a 1933 or 34 Ford...

Fordor Deluxe Model 40. Because of the unusual but factory installed spare wheel you can't see if the hood has single or double latches, difficult to say '33 or '34.

According to my books, yes, but I ain’t volunteering to change them all, so there! A question remains, however, this thing might not be a V8.

But is it the 201 cu inch straight 4, or the 221 cu inch V8?

The others are mostly listed as Ford V8 De Luxe [40]:
/search.php?resultsStyle=asList&sortBy=0&yearFrom=1933&yearTo=1933&makeMatch=2&make=ford&modelMatch=1&model=&modelInclModel=on&modelInclChassis=on&mk=&class1=1&origin=&madein=&madefor=&role=
Maybe we can omit the "Model" and keep just 40 then
About the others, maybe not all of them were V8 ?

^ No, they were also available with the straight 4 flathead 201 cu inch engine, and sometimes referred to as “Model C”. However I don’t know if this was a European only special.

My problem is that I can’t see any obvious differences, not even a v8 symbol anywhere.

This causes further problems as the Model Y and Model C were both British manufactured, although Dearborn designed, small cars.

Why haven’t our so knowledgeable American contributors with their notable eyes for detail assisted with this? Anybody out there?

I propose to call it with the Spanish commercial name... After all, it is a Spanish car

But why is it a V8?
