This scene was a reenactment of the Blitz, a series of night-time bombing raid on London and other cities in Britain from the 7th September 1940 to the 11th May 1941. The Blitz resulted in 60% of London destroyed or damaged, 40,000 to 43,000 British civilians dead and a further 46,000 to 139,000 injured, along with the loss of 2,265 German aircraft, resulting in the deaths of 3,363 aircrew and a further 2,117 injured. -- Last edit: 2022-01-15 11:48:36 |
