Couldn't work out what this is, but looks familiar. Possible special edition?

My best guess is April 1981 to April 84 Carina [A60], with Feb 82+ wrapround bumpers and side indicators.

I had an 80-81 Carina in the same fetching shade of turd, from memory it was a smaller car, more Triumph Acclaim/Honda Ballade sized.

I think I'm sticking with 1982+ Carina [A60] which seems also to have been [TA60]. The plate looks like CPC/CPD/CPG/CPO with the first three being Guildford series with Y in 1983. The difficult thing is untangling what's going on at the C-pillar (1st thumb) - it's not an extra window behind the door and the quarterlight line is vertical - so Corona/Camry/Cressida versions don't fit. But the fiddly detail on the Carina (T)A60 with vertical corner piece and a shiny name badge does (I think) fit - /vehicle_141263-Toyota-Carina-TA60-1982.html , http://www.drift-france.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=17625 , Link to "www.banpei.net" along with the slightly forward sloping rear profile.

Yes, it is this gen. of Carina. It seems, in Europe they were to get only as TA60s and TA62s link.
