HUC 680 series finished July 48 so too early, MUC 680 was Dec 51 to May 52, London, "allocated in blocks" so is fine for date on these Hooper-built cars made during 1948 to 1953, but is a nil return when googled. However I wonder if they've been naughty and switched the plate from (main page background reject picture)??
dsl ◊ 2016-12-03 23:31	Update from a forum thread "Interesting that after the mention of the Green Goddess and Norman Wisdom, nobody has made the link to Wisdom's first film "Trouble in Store" made in 1953. In the opening scene, Norman plays commuter havoc with Jerry Desmonde who is being driven to their same place of work in a chauffeur driven Green Goddess. When featured, the Daimler wore the registration number HUC 680 (or MUC 680?). It would appear that this particular car's styling details match that of the Green Goddess currently owned by Clive Cussler and displayed in his museum collection at Arvada, Colorado.". The Cussler car is RHD, chassis 51745, built 1949/50, and is now maroon with silver bits, registered P(?)GF 747 - Link to "www.britishv8.org" .
daimlere20 ◊ 2021-09-12 13:02	"Green Goddess" was the name given by some members of the press to the 1948 Earls Court motor show Daimler Straight-Eight exhibited with Hooper & Co. Drophead Coupé coachwork. The chassis number being 51233. The price tag was an eye-watering £7001 including taxes!
