From IMDB goof page: "Anachronisms: Film is set in Wyoming but the truck is a Mercury, which was sold in Canada, not the United States. In the US, it was sold as a Ford." |

I think it's a Mercury M-100 from 1965-1968 Here's an interesting website about Mercury trucks: http://www.mercurypickup.com/ |

Judging by the grille, this has to be a 1966. |

I agree that this is a Canadian Mercury truck .My view here is that the origin should mention the Canadian and not the American colors , in the same way that a Ford Taunus is German or a Ford Anglia English. We would need to have a review of all Fords done to check.Another example on the site is the Beaumont under Pontiac which is a specific Canadian model produced in Canada . |

But isn't that the same model as the Ford model with simply another name? (same for Pontiac?) |

We own this exact truck and drive it every day. Its been good to us. Its really fun telling the story of how it was in a Redford movie. I own about 8 Mercury trucks, a couple of really rare 66 crew cabs. But the movie truck is the funnest to drive!![]() Here it is the day we bought it. -Shiny |

I didn't know that Mercury made a pick-up truck! I was thinking this Ford Motor Co. didn't do it! |
