According to allpar.com, no known Plainsman-based ambulances existed to this is a Royal. -- Last edit: 2016-10-30 20:15:43 |

Will this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Royal_(Australia)#Specialised_bodies work? |

From allpar: I misstated earlier; ambulance versions of the wagon do exist but they're similar to GM Suburban ambulances in the US and were sold in very low numbers (48 for this year, according to allpar). The ambulance in question likely has one of those coachbuilt bodies. Just noticed this: Plainsmans being unavailable in AP3 and the relative scarcity of Wayfarers for this year argue that this is based on one of the 1100+ Royals. -- Last edit: 2016-10-30 21:24:03 |

I've always regarded these as AP3 Royals, based on the front clip. |

Chrysler Australia also offered the Royal as a chassis & cowl (similar to the Cadillac commercial chassis) that were available to buy and fit custom bodywork. |
