Belgian Cortinas did not start until 1977 with the Mk4 launch (which was the first Taunus clone to the TC2), so Genk just made whatever was wanted for wherever. However NL assembled Cortinas from 1967 to 1975 (ie the Mk2 and Mk3 period) but Dagenham was the only Mk1 production site in Europe - Cork's first Cortina was the Mk2, ditto Malta (I think). Aus and Rhodesia did Mk1s, probably also NZ and ZA. |
