As usual, a single picture isn't really a trustworthy source, all the more when coming from a website dedicated to wallpapers...

Apparently made from 1958 until 1963. The number (322 to 328) seems to be only related to the -visually unidentifiable- payload, so L-Series "only" would certainly be more sure. Or to match with IMCDb habits, L-Series [L59].

1958 - 1963 L 322 varied from 7,49 tons - 11 tons with 1961 L 323 is 7,49 tons 110 HP so L 322 was allready default for later 710 - 1113 etc.
1958 - 1963 L 327/328 heayvy types 11 - 15 tons
how to identify the payload of Pritschenwagen 5400mm WB visually (let alone the 4x4 here)
L 322
smaller wheels sitting deeper in wheels arch centre of wheel almost coincidence with bumper
rear wing "cut off" by platform with upper edge of platform is 5cm lower than door window
L 327
mighty wheels building higher chassis almost oozing out the arches bigger rear wing isn't cut off by higher platform
bumper significant higher than centre of wheel

space between platform and chassis is much wider, look, there is space for a second fuel tank now.
the front is erected higher, you can feel the difference when climbing into the cabin

thank you once again eLMer, for questioning intuitive identification, as the dispute provides a perfect result here.

although not necessarily for identification one single carefully chosen factory photo to illustrate difference to L 327
[Image: mbl327_50_2.jpg]
the disadvantage of first reference was not its use as a wallpaper, as it is official Mercedes-Benz site but that it is the heavy end of the line "L322" while ours is a 7,5 tons 322
the pic itself is authentic for period asked with its original scripts of tonnage at the wings declaring 11 tons total wight by german law
