Yes indeed these buses were built by DAB (Dansk Automobilbyggeri A/S, Danish Automobile Building) in Silkeborg, Denmark, from 1992 until 2002. DAB was closely associated with Leyland for many years, but when Volvo bought Leyland buses it became to be a period of unrest for DAB. For a while they they were associated with DAF until they eventually were bought by Scania in 1995. Hence I believe these buses were initially built on DAF, and from 1995 on Scania components. The most common model was the DAB 11-0860S, were, I believe, the last S were reffereing to "Servicebus" which it is sometimes called. That is when it's not called MidiCity https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAB_MidiCity . But there were also a model DAB 11-0920S which, I believe, used LPG as fuel. Conclusion: This is at least a 1992-2002 DAB Series 11. |
