Something is written at the rear, but unreadable. From the original DVD it should be possible. It was originally listed as 280 SL without year, I guess that the year was added because of the plate. But as the plate is maybe false... |

Maybe 1963 was added because was the first year. This would be a 1968 280 SL. |

Yes, it's probably a false numberplate. Although the door mirrors are British items (not original M-B), the wheelcovers and the black rear view mirror identify it as a 1968 280SL. The stacked boot badge must be AUTOMATIC. |
