Looks like a bin lorry. 1935 London plate, but probably Glasgow or other Clydeside town setting and coat of arms on door. Something else in bottom left distance - clearest in 2nd thumb. -- Last edit: 2016-07-07 12:52:49 |

Radiator badge looks like AEC. Does that say Perkins Diesel on the front? |

The AEC bonneted models of the 30s were called Mercury (3 1/2 ton) Mandator, Matador, Mammoth Major 6, Monarch and Majestic (6 ton). I think this may be a Majestic Mk II, but not sure. Please note that some of these names were used multiple times on very different trucks. http://www.aecsouthall.co.uk/aecmodels/00_aec.htm Esso bin lorry? Probably not. Link to "www.britishcommercialvehiclemuseum.com" Sorry nz, but the concept of a Polly Perkins in an AEC would make my friend Andy, who was an AEC apprentice, very upset!
