According to Wikipedia:
Quote [...] Escort production commenced at the Halewood plant in England during the closing months of 1967, and for left hand drive markets during September 1968 at the Ford plant in Genk. [...]

First German models were made in January 1970 (de).

⇒ at least a 1969 model year.

In foreground, the Transit, which will become the next vehicle used by Agnès and Mona Lisa. In background of this background car, the girls' Opel Rekord (which is supposed to be a vehicle of the showroom???). And a US wagon, which is a Dunno for me :).

Thanks, electra225. According to Wikipedia, that specific grille is apparently the one of the muscle car version, the Super Bee.

I don't know who set the Built in: BE for the Escort, but couldn't it be also a model built in Germany?
