"facepalm" it's a Mercedes S-Klasse, nothing about it says Scorpio http://www.ytrd.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/eYTRD1700-05.jpg -- Last edit: 2016-06-25 19:00:04 |

Some time ago I read that in 1994 a car magazine (from UK if I remember well) published the pics of some pre-series Scorpios caught during tests short before the reveal, and they wrote in the article that Ford had used a very funny fake body as camouflage for the test vehicles. They couldn't imagine that shortly later the car would have been revealed in this exact shape This particular front with large round grille and round lights was nicknamed in French 'grenouille triste', 'sad frog'. |

Not exactly easy to tell these cars apart with this view: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/80/Boxster_986.jpg Link to "roa.h-cdn.co" |

I think the only way in this view is the number of horizontal vanes in the bumper vent. None in 1997-2002 Boxster, one in the 1998+ 911, and 2 in the 2003+ facelift Boxster. This looks as if it might have 2, but is a 2000 film so can't be facelift Boxster. Therefore as clearly not a single vane, 1997+ Boxster. |
