Despite the blurriness, it does look like a '66 Chrysler. New Yorker, I would say. Coincidentally, just yesterday I saw one parked at our local mall. It was a Newport, however. -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 14:49:47 |

BTW, can anyone help me identify the model and year of this Daimler I saw on a street near my home yesterday? Couldn't resist snapping a couple of shots of such a rare vehicle I have never seen before! Looked it over carefully but could see no model name. The trunk lid did have a "V-8" emblem on the lower right corner. It has right-hand drive. -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 15:03:14 |

With the thick bumpers it's a 1963-67 2½-litre V8. |

Thank you. I assume VERY rare here in the States. I have never seen one here before. Here is a rear view, with the licence plate area blocked out for the owner's privacy. It does carry a North Carolina tag. Will this help narrow down the year, or did they all look the same from 1963-1967? |

They were never sold in US as far as I know. Daimler had just tried selling the SP250 there and failed in any numbers - no brand recognition or existing dealer network. Jag bought Daimler in 1960 and decided to keep its US focus on the Mk.II which was a good seller with established dealer network. Yes. |

Definitely 1966 Chrysler 4-door, either a Newport or New Yorker. The picture is so blurry I can't make out the grille detail or whether it is a sedan or hardtop. I would go with Newport unless someone comes up with a better picture. |
