Yes, they are. Any chance it could be a 1973+ 127p? |

Has badge of Italian Fiat. 127p had only Polish labels. |

http://www.abc.se/~m9805/eastcars/fsm/127hajn.jpg To prawda ... I had a 1972 2-door 127 (Italian). The rear window was like the one in the link, not the main picture, which I think may be from 1973+ when the hatchback was introduced (I had one of those, too!) |

Now I see that car from the main pic is a bit strange, seems there were some changes about which I know nothing (or it is simply thanks to the angle/light). The 2 door fastback is on pic from your link chris40 (the 'p' version), and indeed it looks a bit different than this 'Hungarian' one, but the hatchback actually should looks like here: /vehicle_27092-Fiat-127-1973.html /vehicle_120646-Polski-Fiat-127p-3-1974.html -- Last edit: 2007-09-10 20:47:29 |

Przepraszam, I didn't make myself clear. The Hungarian one is a 2-door, but not exactly like my link or my own 1972 2-door. On them, there is a thin horizontal piece of bodywork between the rear window and the boot-lid; but on the Hungarian one, there is not, the boot-lid is immediately below the rear window (which is also a slightly different shape). What I meant was that when the hatchback was introduced, they changed the 2-door slightly, probably for ease and economy of production, and this 2-door - the Hungarian one - is therefore probably a 1973+ model. They did sell the two-door and the hatchback simultaneously, but the hatch was so much more useful I think the 2-door eventually went out of production. -- Last edit: 2007-09-10 21:26:56 |

No, 'I przepraszam', now I see what you meant. |

The hatchback arrived in early 1972 but the sedan remained for the whole life of the 127. The first series sedan had the rear window a bit enlarged in the autumn of 1974, at the launch of the "127 Special", |
