The Tiger TS1 or TS2 would fit this radiator shape, but so would the Lion. The length of the bonnet is difficult to estimate, four cylinders in the Lion, six in the Tiger. Link to "3.bp.blogspot.com" http://www.classicbuses.co.uk/mdtig.html -- Last edit: 2016-04-29 17:58:55 |

Any help?? Can't read destination or plate apart from being AB 1234 format. |

Any idea of the location? Are we approaching the Smoke from the south because this looks like a coach rather than a service bus, and would then be more likely to be a Tiger, and there are some firms I could check for the unusual name board on the roof. |

No clues, but London seems likely. Quality is not up to usual Film Unit clarity, so I assume an imported snippet. Destination board might actually say WINDSOR with "via XXXXXX" in 2 smaller rows on right. The van on left has signwriting but can only make out first word "Golden" - 2nd word is not Wonder. |

Anybody got a 30s fleet list for Windsorian Coaches? They seem to have been mainly Dennis and Bedford but may have had some Leylands in the early 30s. |

It seems reasonable to call this a Leyland Tiger. If it is also reasonable to interpret the early part of the number plate to UF 6xxx we could say TS2, with coachwork by Harrington operated by Southdown. If not, just Leyland Tiger. |

Fine with me. UF 6xxx should give 1930. |
