Plate looks like AEJ/AEU/AFJ/AFU 838. AFU 838 is only local combination - Lindsey in Lincolnshire, March - Oct 1938. "This picture shows Lincolnshire Fleet Number 561, parked out of service at Beaumond Cross Bus Station. The coach is a Leyland Tiger TS8, with coachwork by Weymann with 34 seats, built 1939. Registration. no. AFU 838 (Lincolnshire Lyndsey) issued 1939." - Link to "www.picturethepast.org.uk" with 1952 picture - slight changes eg plate position, wheel pattern, but looks broadly identical. |

Possibly registered 'AFU538' or, as you suggested dsl, 'AFU838' as seen in other captures. Lincolnshire Road Car Co. fleet No. LT561 is visible in the movie by the front entrance. 1939 Leyland Tiger TS8 Lincolnshire Road Car Co., fleet No. LT561. |
