I have found a couple of websites from Europe that provide VIN numbers for these Suzuki Ignis models, which, if the VIN decoding website is correct, then it's clear that the 2000 model of the Ignis was built in Japan, and not Hungary, unlike the 2001 model (2003 in Europe), which was indeed built in Hungary:
