tore-40 ◊ 2016-03-16 01:36	@supcoach: Actually Standard No. 108 was effective from 1.1 1968 but most U.S. manufacturers used the model year 1968 for the changes. Take Chrysler: They used lights for 1968, 1969 retro reflectors while the standard was changed from lit or reflective to lit and reflective for 1970 on, once again by 1.1, Thus you could find 1968 models produced in 1967 - especially imports - without side markers. For the car above, it is not even U.S. Location, is it? What you see is rather repeaters.

The side indicators here might be made-for-Italy (although it has orange front indicators which were normally white on cars for I).
