The Carol didn't have a bubble-shaped rear window.

I think this is too generic to call.
(As I search though all the cars from 50,60 and early 70 by all the Japanese automaker that I know.and I found nothing fit the pic above.)
(And I know it's a Japanese car as the owner of this car in this episode had already said that this one car is build by himself back in the day he was a production line worker(or some prositon in car company)....if my memory is right)

Yep, it's likely a fictional concept car design. So I say... 1963 Mazda Carol 360 fictional concept car or put this in the comment.

IRT_BMT_IND wrote The front and sides look a bit like a Mazda Carol, but the back does not. (It could have just been made up by the animators)

datsunZ wrote Assuming that's a Mazda Carol-based prototype(into episode came said was a car that belongs at same private collection that include the Dino 206,the Caddy Eldorado, the Toyota 2000 GT and others)and if that model was actually realized in one-off as a running concept-car-prototype,could be an eventually proposal of a aerodynamic-tail Carol wagon,'cause that model seems don't existing stock-made with that kind of body(but if I don't knew if Mazda had done similar projects in past, given that never had seen that oddity on wheels nor on motor magazines or books either)

Another possibility could be that the car preserved into collection was an eventual Mazda Carol pre-production prototype, maybe with a different back end shape,a styling then rejected for regular production,'cause eventually costly to realize, preferring then the well-known canted Ford Anglia-alike rear wiew window(but for claim that needs to see how were shaped pre-production prototypes of 1962 Carol, that never had seen and can't say you if they were so-shaped,before final style then chosen and approved by Make)

Maybe - just maybe - there is a connection - a fantasy version of the Ferguson R5 - Link to "s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com" , https://www.flickr.com/photos/45676495@N05/15797485299 , http://www.banovsky.com/archive/ferguson-r5 . Too many obvious differences to push the idea too far, but the connection would be the Ferguson 4wd system used in the Jensen FF. Maybe - after too many bowls of crunchy nut cornflakes the night before - the artist decided to invent a "Jensen R5".
