Regarding Daimler V8 or Jaguar Mk.II on the pictures I have found of the rear the typical Daimler 'flutes' are used on the number-plate housing as well as the radiator/grille.

However, although its not visible in the above picture its just possible it was not clear enough to be seen. The badging on the right (instead of the centre above the number-plate, mostly if not always true of Jaguar 2.8/3.4/3.8 Litre?) would be right for 'Daimler V8' I think. The wheel-trims also look most typical for Daimler I think.

Left- Lightened to make badge more visible. Right- Daimler V8 badging on the right.

None of this is conclusive.... Anyone with more observations or conclusions?

 Another vote for Daimler. These Daimler exports were fairly low volume, mainly to RHD (ex-)Commonwealth countries; LHD destinations very unusual.
