this car have a weird story here: first was selled as volkswagen carat in the 80's, then dissapear and the passat comes here...and 22 years later is back again and there's no oficial advice or anything to sell this car...but anyways this car sells alot here.u can use this car if u want a taxi or a remis...and well, is very cheapest and the price here is one of the most cheapest for a car of that size, so i can see alot of this santanas in my city...and the wird thing is that in the argentina volkswagen site there's no info, even when this car is selled here...weird the most, is here but volkswagen have no info, i found alot of info in a fansite and the volkswagen brasilian site, but here...even there's no tests, weird to think and more to explain...is the last one santana, when the restyling comes to brazil and looks really good. this car was selled the year when i was born in argentina with the name carat...in 1984. |

It looks a lot like what Volkswagen sold here in the mid to late-80's in the States as the Quantum (which I think was a lot like the euro-Passat of that period). We even had an Audi-sourced 5-cylinder version for a while. |

You mean the Euro Passat of the early eigthies, untill 1987...I think, the one after that is much more different... |
