You're getting better, but you need to look a bit harder, the clues appear to be there. Wire wheels and chip cutter grille = pre facelift. Vertical louvres only in rear section of bonnet = Nine according to my book but see below. From the registration per dsl 1935, so late model Nine looking at the length of the bonnet on the Hornet which was longer due to the six cylinder engine. The first car I can recall my Godfather/Uncle owning was the 1935 Hornet below which had a Fourteen engine in. The plate was JP95, pity it wasn't kept, it would have been worth a lot of money now, but the car was beyond economic repair and broken up. It was replaced with an Austin Sixteen, GTX299, another nice plate. ![]() Before anybody asks, no it isn't.
