The window in the rear part of this truck (see behind the driver) indicate a carryall body from the 1941-42 G-505 series: a WC-10, WC-17 or WC-26. Do anyone know how to differentiate these models? What seem to be a 4WD excludes the 4x2 WC-36 and WC-48. -- Last edit: 2015-12-16 03:06:30 |

Yes the 1/2 ton Carryall. Based on production figures the odds favor the WC-26 but seems going with the first configuration of WC-10 is more appropriate. Non original tires & wheels. |

@ 4x4peru: do you know any reliable pictures somewhere in the Internet to compare the models? |

@Elmer. Unfortunately I do not have a GoTo internet site for the 1/2 ton Dodges. It must exist and perhaps a Google search will lead there? My study and enjoyment of these military Dodges goes back way before the internet. Since the '70s I've had books & Tech Manuals on the various models, production figures, etc... and still refer to them today. I had several of the 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton WC series and later a few of the M37s & Power Wagons. Strong trucks! |

Thanks for the extra picture, CA_NES. I don't know who gave this vehicle the Carryall identification, but besides the fact that it makes it the first (and only) model of its kind, the official model names were WC-10, WC-17 or WC-26. For now, all are identified as "just WC" in the IMCDb but we here try to see if any detail could help to give it its accurate number/name. So please no more fancy model name. -- Last edit: 2015-12-17 19:06:45 |

Is that so hard to leave it as unknown model as long as no detail have been identified to give the most accurate identification? Is the "unknown syndrome" spreading among all IMCDb contributors, including some admins? -- Last edit: 2015-12-18 00:56:41 |

Not sure of the unknown status of this...It is a Dodge 1/2 ton WC Carryall. It can be several numbers as suggested within the WC series but still a 1/2 ton Carryall. To list this as unknown is very misleading. |
