This image helps to confirm my opinion about the year of the (half) car on the far left. It's definitely 1928 (from the postion of the parking lights on either side of the cowl, near the winshield). It's a pity you just can't see the radiator emblem to determine if it's a Cadillac or a LaSalle, although I still think it's a LaSalle (based on the other, even fuzzier image). |

Seems that you are right, here is from the 1928, but except a few details is very similar: Link to "groups.msn.com" |

Except for a few details' most cars of that era are very similar. but I agree with 1927 Essex. |

Yes that's unfortunately true, at least for me. |

Good day everyone, This car is an Essex coupe 1928 . the difference is major. First the body is rounder in 1928. The cowl lights are not 1927 which would be on the bottom windshield almost. in 1928 they were close to the hood and sticking out. Then there's the mascot on the rad cap . it's the flying man "Acarius" The wheels show a definite 12 spokes indicating not a 1929 Essex! (they have 10). 1929 also had a larger sun visor at the top of the windshield. See more Essex on my website: www.essexcanada.wordpress.com hope this helps, hey! |
