As this movie was filmed besides Singapore in Germany (nothing said about Russia - this car has a Russian-looking plate), it's the question, if this Lada es sold at first in the DDR or in West Germany, to identify clearly the original model-name. I'd go for DDR, as the 1500/1600 was not too common in the West (more 1200/1300 and Nova), especially not in plain colours as white or grey.
