Could, would and is, if they followed the German changes But, I somehow doubt the Westfalia equipment was shipped over there, isn't it rather made in Germany? |

Louver windows usually indicate a Campmobile / Camping-car / Campingwagen or whatever its name was in South Africa (apparently not Kamper, as this latter had no "extra-roof"). This (1968-73 opening) roof should then be a factory-mounted part. But as usual, we're talking about a 40- to 38-year old van (in 2008), so we should keep in mind that it could also have been somewhat "rearranged", although it seems to be still in its original condition. |

Your link also states the early campers were expensive, probably due to the import of fully assembled campers, rather than cheaper later copies. |
