Ribble 1036 (PCK618), a preserved Leyland Leopard L2T with Harrington Cavalier coachwork -see https://www.flickr.com/photos/85000178@N05/8647291581. Behind it is I think another Ribble Leopard, this time 811 (ARN811C), a 1965 PSU3/3RT with Weymann body - see https://www.flickr.com/photos/85000178@N05/20625643708 |

Delivered new to Aintree depot in June 1961, where it was based until its withdrawal after the 1971 coaching season. It passed to the dealer Norths, Sherburn-in-Elmet, in February 1972 and was acquired by Regent Coaches, Redditch, in May of that year. It was withdrawn by them in February 1974 and was sold to Jacksons Coaches, Chorley, three months later. There, it was used primarily on a works contract from Chorley to the British Nuclear Fuels plant at Salwick until being withdrawn from service in 1986. It was purchased by Maypole Coaches, Liverpool, in October 1987 with hopes to restore it, though did not materialise and its restoration was instead carried out by a member of the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust, whom it was acquired by in 1988. |
