A model newer than 1951 would in fact have been anachronistic as the action is supposed to take place in 1951... I don't see any vertical reinforcement bar in front of the rear wheel arch, meaning therefore that it is the 116"/2.95 m wheelbase of a ½-ton 3100 (as pickup: 3104 model code).
