I can't find any infos about production of this car under make Polski Fiat, However I've discovered last time some completely new (for me) pre-war PFs which were assembled here from italian parts and even had a PF logo, so maybe 508 C was also build this way. Edit - finally I've found! Somwhere here http://www.odkrywca-online.pl/pokaz_watek.php?id=186324 is that was built here - no infos about the make. -- Last edit: 2008-08-19 22:39:33 |

In fact the 508 type 1932 was the 1st Fiat made under Polish license by FSO/Polski-Fiat |

Yes indeed the PF version was named '508 I' and in the 1935/6 was replaced by new '508 III Junak'. The entire production of PF was controlled by PZinż which had a branch FSOiP PZinż , but it had nothing to do with the post-war FSO - invention of communists. After the war the new factory was build which had to produce a new PF's, but big brother Stalin didn't let for the cooperation with the 'western' concern (FIAT). We had to buy licence for the M20 Pobeda and the production of it has been started in this new plant - FSO was born. Edit 2010. Can be also a Simca 8, but with soft top rather less probable. -- Last edit: 2010-12-02 23:29:46 |
