Brits were miles behind with site material handling and when it dawned on us it was much cheaper and quicker to move things around site and into buildings by a rough terrain forklift than by ten men and a rope we bought lots of Manitou and Sambron forklifts because they were far ahead in development. -- Last edit: 2015-09-14 18:50:18 |

One very clear impression from the film is how chaotic building sites were in those days - stuff like bricks, girders, planks, pipes, steel rods, scaffolding, spoil heaps etc is just piled up all over the place without zones or proper access routes. |
