What makes it a super eight? Different engine than a standard 180? "Leave the gun, take the canollis.". Great adlibed line! |

19th series is obvious but you have to decide: There is no "Super Eight 180", just either a "Super Eight 160" or a "Custom Super Eight 180". Is this the same car as that 180 Le Baron? |

This 180 Packard that was used in the Godfather movie was worked on by me in 1970 at the Veteran Car Museum in Littleton, Colorado. It was brought to the museum to prepare it for the movie. I completely rewired all the existing wiring under the dash and serviced the car and got it running so it could be shipped out for the movie. A great car to work on and I was told at the time there were only 3 of these located and this was in the best condition and the only one that could be rented for this movie. I don't know what happened to the car after it's historical film and would like to know where it is. |
