This is a Veraneio. It seems to be a 1969+(straight bars grille) and from this year on, Chevrolet called it only as Veraneio. |

(1964-66 C-1416 // 1967-69 C-1416 (pt) & 1969-70 Veraneio) There was apparently no facelift with the 1969 name change, so it's impossible to tell a 1967 model over a 1969 one. -- Last edit: 2015-09-02 04:43:54 |

Please find here the advertisement of 1968 C-1416 and note that the name Veraneio was not mentionned (as well C-1416). Note that Utilitário is mentioned: http://www.propagandasdecarros.com.br/propagandas.php?id=430 And please find here the 1969 avertisement of 1969 Veraneio. It is writen in Portuguese in the first phrase the NEW name, making clear that was a new product - now is a Utilitário de Classe ( a top utility car). http://www.propagandasdecarros.com.br/propagandas.php?id=431 |

Nothing to compare: the 1st picture that I put shows a 1964-66 model, with a different grille, to illustrate how the car looked before and after the 1967 facelift. The model from the movie is a 1967+ model... @ bob dieck: if you read carefully the caption of my 2 pictures, the part after the "//", explaining what can be seen in the 2nd picture, says exactly the same as you do. So I don't really understand what you're trying to prove, all the more as your 2 ads show that there is no difference between the 1967-69 and the 1969+ models (except for the name, of course)... -- Last edit: 2015-09-03 04:36:11 |

I agree with you, rjluna2. And they have a different grille too. But as already said (and written in the caption), the one on the left shows just for information a 1964-66 C-1416 while the one on the right shows a 1967-69 C-1416 or a 1969-70 Veraneio (a C-1416, in fact, but both models looked the same). And we're talking about the fact that despite the name change in 1969 there is no difference between the models before and after it, as one can see with bob dieck's ads. So comparing the emblem with a 1964-66 model won't help to see a (non-existent) difference between 1967+ models -- Last edit: 2015-09-03 14:35:33 |
