Probably a W111, but there is somethink wrong about the proportions if not only about the suspentions and wheels. Side trim could let me think about a 300 SE but it looks to me in the wrong place - too high or too low, I am not sure... Echoing your thoughts, the radiator shell seems to be the more upright variety from an older model, but the wheels are of more recent vintage, there are no fog lights, which I believe may be more common with later models. So it looks like a 220/250SE or a 300SE in 280SE 3.5 clothing. I would stay a bit further away from 300SE because they were rare and valuable enough that such 'updates' are not performed on them, though the lowered wheel may point towards collapsed air suspension. I would probably go with 250SE because of the sidemarkers |

1969 280 SE Cabriolet(W111). Last year with high narrow grille. First year rubber on bumpers. 300 SE finished 1967. |
