welded hull means A2, A3 or A4 , NO A1 but doesn't look like extended chassis so not A4 either so might as well throw the coin if A2 or A3 -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 17:07:58 |

this looks like the 76 mm gun with small supressor at end http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/sherman_types/m4a2/M4A2_76.JPG so a Fisher M4 A2 "Sherman" |

GRRR this needs a correction as I forgot a detail it's an A3 as the A2 wasn't used by US Army M4A3(76)W Sherman (VVSS) This variant was manufactured by Chrysler (1400 units produced) and Fisher Body (525 units produced). http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/sherman_types/m4a3/m4a3.html -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 20:42:38 |

This what I read on wikipedia Sherman production page: M4A3(76)W ___ Fisher Tank Arsenal Detroit Tank Arsenal ___ 9,924 (it's much more than 1400+525) ___ March 1944 – April 1945 |

1400 + 525 is just for that particular A3 variant M4A3(75) - 1690 M4A3(75)W Sherman (VVSS) - 2420 M4A3(75)W Sherman (HVSS) - 651 M4A3(75)W Sherman (HVSS) - 254 M4A3(75)W Sherman (HVSS) - 1400 + 525 M4A3(76)W Sherman (HVSS) - 2617 M4A3(105) Sherman (VVSS) - 500 M4A3(105) Sherman (HVSS) - 2539 http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/sherman_types/m4a3/m4a3.html -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 21:06:08 |

Then I'll name it Chrysler? It would be more, er, congruent. In a while, for my f%*£§ connexion is a mess! Aaaargh! |

well the A3 with 76 mm gun (easy spotted as it's much longer than the other ones) was more produced by Chrysler so yeah you could name it to Chrysler or just leave it to Fisher -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 21:13:44 |
